prizegiving2012 Dedicated@601 held our Annual Prize Giving Ceremony and Christmas Party on 22 December 2012. We were honored to invite Mr Patrick Oh, Project Director from En Community Services Society to give a parenting talk titled: Your Style Matters. Parents and Students also get to enjoy Piano, Song and Dance performances done up by the teachers and students. They also witnessed the prize presentation which gives recognition to students with Good Academic Achievements as well as Good Character.

incanto The Upper Primary and Secondary School Students from Dedicated Student Care Centre, were privileged to be invited by Northwest CDC to Incanto by Resorts World Sentosa on Saturday, 15 December 2012. The students and volunteers enjoyed the breathtaking and stunning performances put up by one of the world's top illusionists, Joe Labero and other dancers.

bondingtime Dedicated@601 introduced a new Bonding and Sharing Time into our program during the December school holiday. This time was scheduled everyday for the students to talk to the teachers and friends, sharing their thoughts and what they have learnt, improving their communication and interpersonal relationship skills. We also included Social and Emotional and Character Building activities during this time.

manfuttong Dedicated@601, together with the volunteers of Woodlands Zone 9 RC, visited Man Fut Tong Nursing Home on 21 November 2012. The students put up a song and dance performance for the old folks. They also gave them Chinese Knot Dragonflies made by themselves. Some of the old folks even shared their life experiences with the children.

School reopens after our one month June Holiday. Students from Dedicated@601 had fun with all the activities arranged by our teachers. We also like to thank the students and teacher from Evergreen Secondary School, Cedar Girls School and also Raffles Girls School for having activities with our students.

cupcakeworkshop Dedicated@601 organized a Cupcake Decoration Workshop during the June Holidays for our students. The lesson was conducted by Ms Eng Eng, a Cake Decorator and an Instructor for Cupcake Decoration, from Pastry Kitchen. Participants of the workshop learnt to decorate their very own cupcakes. Some of them came out with their own creative design.

Dedicated@601 would like to congratulate our top student Penelope Chua Hui Eng from CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School. She obtained a score of 265 with 4A* and MERIT in Higher Chinese. She has been posted to Raffles Girls' School to further her studies in the year 2012.

Another top student among the cohort is Marcus Tang Xin Kye from Woodlands Primary School who obtained an aggregate score of 259. He has been posted to Hwa Chong Institution to further his studies in the year 2012. Other students who did well are Yeo Jun Wei from Greenwood Primary School and Joshua Tiew Rong Xin from Woodgrove Primary School.

Parents and students also get to enjoy performances done up by the teachers and students, and witnessed prize presentation which awarded students with good academic performances for the academic year.

We were also proud to present the10 Years Long Service Award to Teacher Yan Min and 5 Years Service Award to Teacher Joslyn Tan.

Olympiad This June Holiday was a fast-paced and brilliant one for our DSCC family. We had fun with the students from both Singapore Polytechnic and Cedar Girls' Secondary School who organized some activities for us.

We also have some first time experiences like riding on the ice-bumper cars and participating at the Children's Olympiad 2011 at Singapore Sports Museum - YOG Gallery.

Cedar Girls Dedicated@601 would like to thank the Secondary One Girls from Cedar Girls' Secondary School - Group 'Fusion', for carrying out games and activities to share their knowledge on saving the earth to the Primary 1 and Primary 2 children on 21st to 24th June.

The girls' spirit and patience are highly commendable and our students gain knowledge on environmentally-friendly habits through those games and activities organized by them.

Dedicated@601 would like to thank those students from Singapore Polytechnic - Financial Informatics Course who came down to our centre on June 7th. We enjoyed the fun indoor and outdoor activities organised by them.

NDP 2010 Happy 45th Birthday Singapore!

This year, as part of our celebration, we brought our students to the movies: The Last Airbender and The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Mediacorp Dedicated Student Care Centre was invited to Mediacorp on the 22nd June 2010 for a recording of the show Entertainment on 5 (E on 5).

Besides participating in the recording, our students and accompanying parents also had tour of Mediacorp studio backstage, control panel and saw how rehearsals were being conducted. They even got up-close views of some actors and actresses.

Art and Craft This June Holiday was a fun-filled and memorable holiday for our DSCC family. As always we had a variety of holiday programs planned for our students.

This time our young chefs and Origami instructors made their contributions during our Cookery and Art & Craft sessions.
